And further the combination with the (best) people and organization this will keep the adversary out. Most projects fail due to communications within the teams, toe goal-settings or wrong estimations. The triangle between People/Organization and Processes/Procedures and Technology is a wonderful area to be in. New technology like DL/ML and AI makes it even more challenging.

Dr. Oliver Hanka is a Partner at PwC Germany, where he leads the Industrial & Product Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking Team. With over 16 years of experience, he is a recognized expert in securing embedded systems, operational technology (OT), corporate IT, and the development of safety-critical systems.

In his role, Dr. Hanka has successfully led major transformation projects in OT and Product Cyber Security. He has been instrumental in implementing strategic initiatives related to the EU Cyber Resilience Act and NIS2, as well as conducting Threat Lead Penetration Tests under the DORA guidelines. Prior to joining PwC, Dr. Hanka held significant positions in Industrial/IoT Cyber Security at prominent companies such as G+D Germany, IBM Australia, Airbus Germany/France, and ESG in Germany. His extensive industry experience spans corporate IT, operational technology, and embedded/product security. Dr. Hanka earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and holds the CISSP certification. These qualifications underscore his deep expertise and ongoing commitment to the highest standards in IT security.
